Tim Caldwell (cricketer)
Tim Charles John Caldwell, OBE, BEM (29 October 1913 – 17 June 1994)〔Who's Who in Australia (The Herald and Weekley Times Limited, 1988) pp 167〕 was an Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for New South Wales from 1935 to 1937.〔(Cricinfo )〕 He served as Chairman of the Australian Cricket Board from 1972 until 1975〔(Cricket Australia – History )〕 and was a senior executive with the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group.
==Early life==
Caldwell was born in the Brisbane suburb of Clayfield, Queensland, and educated at Brisbane Grammar School〔Who's Who in Australia (The Herald and Weekley Times Limited, 1988) pp 167〕 and Newington College (1927–1930).〔Newington College Register of Past Students 1863–1998 (Syd, 1999) pp 28〕 He was a right arm fast medium bowler and right-handed batsman for Northern Districts.
